The Nature of God
This is just a summary of an earlier idea I had about our universe being a computer simulation, which I had a few months ago, in light of my recent idea (see my previous post). Assume that the total no. of universes out there is equal to a stack of 6 twos = 2 ^ (2 ^ 65,536). Each universe has 2 ^ 65,536 bits, with 2 ^ 65,536 clock cycles to work with. I maintain that in our particular universe, the software was initially very simple (no need for 10 ^ 100 subatomic particles, with each possible pair of particles interacting with each other every iteration). The software (the initial configuration of the 2 ^ 65,536 bits in its memory) was just complex enough to support digital life forms (think DNA and proteins, based not on molecules but simply on bits being processed by a CPU or digital brain/computer). These digital life forms evolved in complexity, and eventually achieved sentience. Then these sentient digital life forms decided to allocate 50 percent of the computer memory they inhabited (which equals exactly 2 ^ 65,535 bits) to a computer simulation of our universe, complete with roughly 10 ^ 100 subatomic particles. Each iteration in the simulation, every possible pair of particles (numbering 10 ^ 200 pairs) is processed. This simulation, which was written by the sentient digital life forms I just mentioned, started with the Big Bang, and 15 billion year later we evolved. So our Creators are none other than the sentient digital life forms that evolved in a much simpler digital universe, but with an enormous no. of bits and clock cycles to work with. And even more mind-boggling, there exist 2 ^ (2 ^ 65,536) possible universes. Just one of those universes gave rise to the sentient digital life forms that wrote the computer simulation in which we live.
