Diary: Wednesday

Got out of bed at 4 a.m. and got dressed. Turned on the computer. Made coffee. Wrote Python lesson and emailed it to Javier P. (hopefully he will send me a Java lesson). Had breakfast. Took pills. Brushed teeth. Made 2nd coffee. Wrote email to Cathy (my sister). Received email from Diane Duhamel and replied. Finished emailing Cathy. Took recyclables to recycling room, making 2 trips. Received email from Javier, who's going to send me a Java tutorial, maybe tomorrow, and replied to his email (yes!). Measured widths of table/chair legs, as I need to buy felt pads so they won't scratch my wooden floor. Lied on the couch. Watched 3 men working on construction crane, which was erected recently. Greeted Maria, the cleaning lady. Note to self: buy Tide. Left for work. Picked up meds from Shoppers Drug Mart. Bought pedometer and shampoo along with meds. Calculated in my head the exact total of the bill: $34.79. Drove to work in Mississauga (APROM).

Fetched mug of instant coffee. Read/sorted email. Replied to an email from Arvin. Fetched pop from fridge. Talked on the phone with Dave Sawh (in our New Jersey office), who called me and reported 2 problems with 2 different APROM software packages: SRS and SMS. Tried and failed to reproduce the problem with SRS, emailed Dave. Sent another email to Dave, asking for the update number of the version of SMS used by the customer. Had a McChicken combo at McDonald’s. Had a 2nd mug of instant coffee. Dave called me again, telling me he still has the SRS problem, even though we both seem to have the exact same version of that software release on our respective computers. He also said he’s going to find out from the customer their SMS update no. Tested CIS changes from Carl in China. Talked to Arvin briefly about CIS (Arvin had a 7-hour meeting today). Wrote email to Carl/Dave about CIS, which is pretty well ready for production. Ate half of a leftover blueberry muffin. Entered timesheet data: 3 hours 40 minutes today. Took evening meds (Olanzapine). Turned off computer. Wrote down time in sign in/out book: 7:20 p.m. Drove home.

Turned on computer. Checked phone messages: 3 very short ones from Constance. Took antidepressant pill. Found out how to fix my desk chair to make the backrest reclinable: just pull the up/down lever out, perpendicular to the vertical axis of the chair (after Maria comes it often goes wonky). Constance called and talked with her briefly. Lied down on the couch briefly, still drinking pop from beginning of previous paragraph (from APROM's fridge). Saw that Maria changed 2 light bulbs that were burnt out in the 3-bulb track lighting in my kitchen. Had a piece of brown bread w/ peanut butter and a glass of milk. Clipped coupon for 75 cents off next purchase of 2L carton of chocolate milk from empty bag which once contained 3 bags of milk (4 litres). Lied on the couch again. Watched The National on CBC Newsworld. Had 4 maple crème cookies with milk. Washed the dishes. Brushed teeth. Turned off computer. Went to bed.
